A multidisciplinary approach to surgical sensing.

NeuraSense Labs brings clinical insight, instrumentation, signal processing and machine learning together to develop surgical sensing. Based in Los Angeles, we are building toward tissue information at the instrument’s point of contact.

01 Mission

Bringing tissue information to the point of contact, through the instruments surgeons already use.

Field
Surgical sensing
Method
Electrical impedance of tissue, measured across frequencies
Stage
Research and development
Base
Los Angeles, California

Tissue identification draws on anatomy, sight, touch and surgical experience. NeuraSense explores an additional source of information: the electrical response of tissue measured through a surgical instrument.

Our development brings instrument design, tissue characterization and signal analysis into one effort, with surgical use guiding the direction.

02 Disciplines

Four disciplines, one point of contact.

Surgical insight defines the need. Instrumentation captures the measurement. Signal processing characterizes it. Machine learning evaluates the patterns.
